I have a KRC2 Which I use with my K2 to automate antenna switching but
since I use an external keyer (the lovely logikey cmos4) I really do
not
want short presses of the F1 to f4 buttons to trigger the K2's memory
keyer playback.
in the absence of the KRC2 utility (which is badly needed !) is there
any
way to prevent the K2 memories playing back ?
Failing that is there a way that the K2 memories can be completely
cleared ?
Yes. You don't even need to reconfigure the box to do it. Simply
install jumper W8 to disable key presses. This is described on page 20
of the KRC2 manual.
A second way is to install the Accessibility upgrade which has all
sorts of functions, but no sending of CW message from the K2 memories.
