thank you for your answer nate, That's right and this APIs name is not between hawthorn deprecated features <https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/open-edx-release-notes/en/latest/hawthorn.html#deprecated-features> also this is the alternative to course structure API which had been deprecated since eucalyptus (ref <https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/open-edx-release-notes/en/latest/eucalyptus.html#deprecated-rest-apis> ) So we have no other solution to retrieve courses list when there is not any good guide written on how to use Catalog service.
