Thank you all very much for your sensible replys. I was hoping to get
my marking done over the weekend, but I'm going to see the Course
Leader tomorrow and put my case to him and perhaps get a marking scheme
more suitable.
These are only first year assignments that don't count for much, but
what's the point in only half doing the job. My students expect
accurate marks for their labours, and I want to apply the same
standards in my work as I am required to for my research (when I
finally get the chance to do some this semester).
Incidently, there is little history on this and there are close on 300
students this year ( I only mark 30 or so)!
