# Adding a language code for Algol 68
## Background There is a GCC front-end for Algol 68 under development [1] and it is already generating working programs. For the moment the front-end is using a temporary DWARF language code. ## Overview Add an official code DW_LANG_Algol68 that GCC can use. ## Proposed changes Add an entry to table 7.17 for DW_LANG_Algol68 with a suitable Value.
