After my 2400 died 6 months ago, I sent it off to be fixed by DTT. Turned
out to be a bad motherboard. After this I became concerned about heat being
the culprit. I installed Gauge Pro, and found my processor temp regularly
shot up to the 190-210 degree range, especially when using Internet
explorer.

Recently I heard a screw running loose inside and sent it back in to be
fixed. When DTT opened it up, they found that the processor was coming
loose. They tightened it up and sent it back. Since then, the processor
hasn't gone over 163 degrees, no matter what I do, without using the fan.

Is it possible that the loose processor was causing the excess heat build up
in there? Is 163 degrees a safe temperature to run my 2400 (with the newer
upgrade) at? If not, what would be a safe temperature?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
