the trick to ebay or any auction is the game of momentum.  when you are 
interested in bidding, you like to start at the real deal low price, and if 
you want something bad enough, you compete with other bidders and that raises 
the price.  by starting at the high price, you'll notice that those on ebay 
that start at a rediculously HIGH price find NO ONE bidding, including ME!  
and sometimes the starting bid is actually LOWER than the same products also 
being bid on, but again, that momentum factor is REAL!!!!
