My only concern with no reserve ebay auctions is, sometimes, not often but sometimes, ebay will be having problems at the last minute or two and you don't get that boost you were expecting. You can also type in a starting price, with no reserve and let it go from there, but those auctions don't usually get as many takers. I amost always start my auctions with a low first bid and let the market take it from there, which 90% or the time works just fine.

Well,

I guess I started this thread, so let me chime in:  If you have the nerve,
a no-reserve, no-mimimum bid gets more bids, more interest, and many times a
higher price then an "I can't take the risk" auction.

I love the excitement of a 'real' auction, but even I get a bit nervous that
ebay will go down or no one is finding the auction in the search...  I do
have high confidence that ebay has enough bidders in general to be a real
market -- (so you want a fair price let the market tell you what fair is)

If you want to watch, I have a second powerbook 2400c up for auction with no
minimum, no reserve...

I expect it to bring about $800.00 - $900.00 it will go like this...  It
will reach about 500.00 in the first 2 days, and no activity until the last
day, and then it will float up to about 700.00 -- then on to 850.00 in the
last hour.  (9 o'clock friday night :)

I try and make sure my auctions close at a popular "surf" time.
