Not an issue with AirPort. Make sure your location actually SWITCHES the
TCP/IP configuration. That has ALWAYS been the only way to reset the
stack.

I'm with you, but AirPort 1.2 REQUIRES 8.6, and "heavily recommends"
9.0.4. What pisses me off is the inability to run the installer on the
2400. I mean I don't mind if they don't want to support it, but to force
us to not even be able to try it? I fear the day when Tome Viewer no
longer works...
Also, the requirement of ARA for AirPort 1.2 is very real, but due to the
increased performance and range, I can handle it.
Also, the 1.2 update fixes an issue with being unable to eject the card
as I get "WaveLane/IEEE could not be ejected as it is in use". The
PowerBook now will only eject the card when AirPort is switched off and
is no longer select in AppleTalke/TCP/IP, which I think is very
appropriate.
Also, and I haven;t been able to get to the bottom of this one...
Sometimes, I am unable to open the AirPort application... I get an error
saying something likme "Network Error. Please make sure Ethernet,
AirPort, or PPP is selected in your TCP/IP control panel". Yeah, that
makes sense for a machine with an Apple card, but WaveLan wasn't a
choice... I don't get it... for some reason switching my TCP
configuration to anything else (even if it isn't one of the 'connect
via's they mention ((which DOES reload the stack))), all seems to work.
Bizarre, but overall a much improved update!
