Pixel operations (glBitmap/glDrawPixels/glCopyPixels) have no effect when
operated on the front buffer.
Can be tested with these single-buffered applications:
progs/redbook/drawf
progs/redbook/font
progs/redbook/image
Or by selecting the front buffer in these double-buffered applications:
progs/demos/copypix
progs/demos/drawpix
progs/demos/readpix
