Checking radeon_device.c:
case CHIP_RV770:

rdev->asic = &rv770_asic;

So you use rv770_asic and that means rv770_init from rv770.c.
You can manually put
r = r600_audio_init(rdev);
if (r)
return r; /* TODO error handling */
At end of rv770_init (just before "return 0"). You should see
"Enabling audio support" then, but as I said it probably won't work.
