The computer in question will not finish starting an X session (XFCE-4.6.0 or
KDE-3.5.10) with linux-2.6.29. The X session starts with the X cursor, which
then turns into the watch cursor. The machine can be rebooted via ssh, but X
will not shut down on it's own.
To follow: kernel .config, lspci, /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log
