Since a couple months I've been having this issue with KDE 4.
When I move the mouse in Dolphin, hovering over the icons, very often I get
similar corruption: http://i40.tinypic.com/2ury1vk.png
Composite and AIGLX are disabled, so no desktop effects.
EXA is enabled.
Setup:
xorg-server-1.5.3 from gentoo with EXA patches
xf86-video-ati from git
mesa from git
drm from git
Card is Mobility Radeon X1400.
