Indeed...
2.6.17 'make oldconfig'
Option "AGPMode" "2"
(**) MGA(0): Option "AGPMode" "2"
(**) MGA(0): Using AGP 2x mode
-> success
Option "AGPMode" "4"
(**) MGA(0): Option "AGPMode" "4"
(**) MGA(0): Using AGP 4x mode
-> (EE) MGA(0): [dri] Idle timed out, resetting engine...
.
2.6.11.12 gcc 2.96 (RH)
Option "AGPMode" "4"
(**) MGA(0): Option "AGPMode" "4"
(**) MGA(0): Using AGP 4x mode
-> success
This has confused me. DRI works as expected on current kernel with xorg
7.0, if AGPMode isn't set higher than "2".
With 2.6.11.12 I can set AGPMode to "4", but there isn't any noticeable
speed improvement. May be this is board specific (Via Apollo 266Pro with
2 CPU's)
Thanks for your answer
