Hi all,
After normal full-install of a recent checkout, the X server don't start
(no xorg.log), and this without enabling either glx nor dri.
However, with my old Xorg (on Solaris) and my new modules, i still get
glxgears (550 fps) and also AGPMode 8 (r200). Only dri i can't get, of
course because it need the new Xorg executable.
Latest experience : if i try to launch (command line) manually the new
Xorg (# Xorg CR) (...!), it hangs, but identically as my old Xorg if i
try the same.
The problem seems so not be it the executable itself, but where ?
Launching normally by reboot, the old starts still, and the new (CVS) say :
"Impossible to start the X server on screen display 1.0.1" or equivalent.
It about which i'm wondering is following : the fact, that the server
eventually crashes after starting is, for me, another story. The first
thing is yet that the start beginns.
Missing link, path ? Any idea ?
My host.def was standard, extra-including only r200 build, Sun compilers
and locations for several existents programms (Freetype and others).
