           Summary: XOrg 6.8.2 with radeon 9200 (R280): lock-up with
                    celestia 1.3.2
           Product: DRI
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: DRM modules
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have compiled both XOrg 6.8.2 and Linux 2.6.12.4 with vanilla gcc-3.4.4. I
have also downloaded the latest DRM drivers from the CVS repository at
dri.freedesktop.org:/cvs/dri. My machine is a dual 2.6 GHz Xeon P4, with HT
enabled.

I have also already applied a small patch for the radeon driver to the XOrg
6.8.2 sources, which relates to a bug that was spotted almost as soon as 6.8.2
was released.

Celestia 1.3.2 locks up very quickly on this machine. (I run it full-screen.)
All I need do is "goto" a few locations, and sooner or later the Xserver will
freeze during transit. Fortunately, I can still reboot the machine by logging in
via a serial console.

DVD playback via XV is not affected.
