While it's possible, it seems unlikely. I did recently upgrade from 2.6.10 to 2.6.11 (about a week before reinstalling Debian)... However, my lockups only ever happen with running a 3D client, not just X.


*However,* I've been playing with different kernel options. I went from an SMP kernel to a UP kernel, and no more lockups. I played neverputt for about 10 minutes where, previously, I'd get lockups almost immediately. I'm gonna try an SMP kernel again, just to confirm that I'm still getting lockups. I'll then trying downgrading to 2.6.10 (SMP) to see what happens.
