I was able to change the offset, but I got stuck with then having to
translate all the drawing back into place.  What would happen was the
gears would be moved right and no longer be centered.  I'd love to
continue once I see a solution to this problem.

1024 would be good(1/2) but 2/3 will sometimes get better results.  3/4
since it's (1536)11000000000b or 0x600 would probly be the best.  Trying
to break it up into larger/smaller fractions will result in a sliver(5 x
Y) being rendered too, I don't see why this would be good.  Keep in mind
that triangles that cross these lines might need to be emited twice.

Only testing can tell thought, I'd be happy to help here.
