FYI, I have just tried the linux-core/ drivers
(drm.ko, radeon.ko), and they locked up my Xorg-6.8.1
server. I was able to login via a serial console and
reboot, but the X server was sitting and spinning
uselessly on one CPU.

I wasn't doing anything too taxing at the time - just
taking a trip to Pluto and Charon via 'celestia'.

(And although I say "locked up the X server", I was
still able to move the mouse cursor around. However,
the cursor graphic stopped changing, and the screen
was no longer being updated.)

Cheers,
Chris

Linux 2.6.10-SMP (2 Xeon P4s, HT enabled, gcc-3.4.3,
Radeon 9200 AGP.)
