While you're at it, you may have a look at the problems they point out
in their Cedega 4.1 release notes:

| TransGaming has seen some game-stopping instability with ATI cards 
| using FireGL and/or DRI running Cedega.  Games of note with issues 
| are Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, Need for Speed Underground and
| Sacrifice.  Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam have this issue, but there
| is a known work-around listed in their sections below.

The reference for "a known work-around" seems to be (I don't know how
much of that affects DRI):

| * ATI users should add '+restart 1' to their command line to skip the intro
|     movies, thus avoiding an X error in the ATI FireGL drivers
|   * ATI users should be sure to disable VBO for this title
