Hello.
I have been a long-time user of your DRI drivers, and they work very well. Thank you for developing such fine software.
I am writing to report what I believe to be a bug in the current version of the i810 drivers. When playing a certain game called Cube, weapons are unable to shoot, and weapons with spread effects blow up in the player's face when fired, causing him to die.
The project is located at http://sourceforge.net/projects/cube/
I first searched the documentation for the game, and have quoted the relevant portion of its FAQ below:
Cube runs, but I can't shoot anything / rockets blow up in my face!
Cube uses OpenGL to find out what position in the 3d world the crosshair is pointing at. If you have old/buggy drivers, or drivers for a badly supported card, it may be that this feature is broken. Your only solution is to install better/newer drivers, or failing that, buy a new card.
This is why I believe the problem to be with the driver and not the game. Could you please tell me what you think about this? I have not had similar problems with other OpenGL games.
Please Cc me as I am not on the list.
