The time order is actually inverse: first there was mach64_vbtmp.h
(adapted from t_dd_vbtmp.h), and then the experiment of native vertex
format (almost a complete rewrite) was made sucessfully, i.e., with
speed increase. The old code wasn't removed immediatly for regression
testing, but it eventually was forgotten. I'm confident it can be
removed now.

I'm not familiar with t_vertex semantics so I can't comment on its
applicability to handle mach64 native format vertices. The original
DRI/Mesa vertex templates were designed for Direct3D-alike vertex
formats, but Mach64 native vertex format differs too much, as it uses
fixed precision numbers and a different ordering.
