Thanks, restoring the original libdri.a solved the problem. Now direct
rendering works, glxgears gives 207 fps at 1280x1024x16bpp. However, at
24bpp the rendering seems to be in software, only 71 fps at this depth.
(xv does not work at 24bpp either, maybe it's a card memory limitation?)
