Recently I upgraded xfree86 from 4.2.1 to 4.3.0-0pre1v3 (I use debian sid). I found
that tecplot (I use tecplot 9.2, which takes advantage of OpenGL to accelerate 3D
rendering.) can no longer render 3D graphics properly. For example, choosing "contour"
in 3D graphics has no effect at all. This does not happen if I comment the line 'Load
"dri"' in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 or when I used xfree86-4.2.1. This problem can also
be overcomed if I replace /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r128_dri.so by the one
xfree86-4.2.1 provides. So this must be a bug of
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r128_dri.so of xfree86-4.3.0.
