Well, the thing is definitely broken the same way on the regular XFree86
CVS tree too (and yes, that was with a CVS update just last night, after
your email).
So it isn't a DRI-introduced problem like I thought. Sorry about the
noise. (I thought I had seen it working earlier, but I'm now starting to
suspect that that was on a different machine).
