Hmmmmm, I tried this:
/sbin/modprobe --remove radeon
/sbin/modprobe agpgart
/sbin/modprobe radeon
Then killing X.
When things came back up I ran glxinfo and found that direct rendering was
apparently enabled! The only problem being that as soon as I run anything with
3D acceleration the whole system freezes. Even tried pinging from remove
computer, but with no response.
Anyone know what would cause the system to freeze up like this?? Am I doing
something else wrong now???
