------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-04-06 00:04 -------
I updated a local CVS tree of XFree86 today and compiled and installed and still
noticed this problem.

XFree86 Version 4.3.99.1
Release Date: 3 April 2003
X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 6.6
Build Operating System: Linux 2.4.18 i686 [ELF]
Build Date: 05 April 2003
        Before reporting problems, check http://www.XFree86.Org/
to make sure that you have the latest version.
Module Loader present

Could this maybe be a product of the kernel that I'm using? (2.4.18) I'd like to
try 2.4.21pre7, but the ac97_codec.c code seems to be broken, and I don't want
to go without sound :).
