You can cleanly shutdown/reboot your box by using the "shutdown"-command.Hi, i'm using a kernel 2.4.20-pre11 with a radeon module compiled from CVS. I have a radeon 8500 LE (r200 QL), and every time i want to switch from X to VT, i've got a blank screen and my computer is frozen... This means i can't halt|reboot properly as i can't reach console mode... I'm wondering if someone has a clue
As root type: "shutdown -h now" for system halt, "shutdown -r now" for reboot, you can also use the shortcuts "halt" and "reboot"
about that? I've set some optimisation flag when compiling (-march=athlon-tbird -O2 -pipe), can this pose a problem? Thanks, Marc
