Hi,
i did some changes and got the s3virge code from the cvs working here.
seems the dma stuff wasn't initializing at all for me.

attached are the the changes i made in the mesa/src/drv/s3v, xfree86/drivers/s3virge 
and the xfree/os-config/linux/drm/kernel folder
(hope the attachments didn't get lost)
