Hello Dieter,

I've got a 3rd party 8500LE-card, and it works just fine. However: this 
card is only officially by FIC, but is very identical to the original 
ATi one. The only differences are little FIC-Stickers covering all 
ATi-Logos on the PCB. There's not even a FIC-string in the BIOS-info 
(and it's got 3.6 ns Ram *g*). I guess your mileage with other brands 
will vary, but flashing the BIOS might work.
