The C++ problem is that the name mangling has changed from gcc-2.9x to 3.x.

Before I had compiled all the user space stuff with gcc-3.0 but the
kernel module was still compiled using gcc-2.95. This configuration
worked. Now I also recompiled the kernel module with gcc-3.0 and ran
into trouble.
