I don't know how finished the code is now and if it's really usable or not.

I was also hoping to test it - I have very few memory on my mach64 so 
there would be quite a boost -, but I've been quite busy studying the DRI 
mach64 code and the OpenGL rendering pipeline so I have had no reason to 
rush Frank.

Leif Delgass has also merged the trunk with XFree86 4.2.0 on his tree, and 
plans to merge it again now with Mesa 4.x, which may also give an overall 
improvement (although not as big as with other cards since mach64 has no 
transform&lighting).

So a new branch will pop up any time soon!

After studying this stuff I plan to workout the blending/fog with PIO, but 
if either Leif or Frank decide to create the new branch - even if not with 
the complete changes - I'll help them finishing.
