We had one along time back--but it quickly got left behind as
development progressed. What's needed is an OWNER of such a generic
driver suite. It could be a software only driver stub using only
fallbacks, ported to a single device.
This is a non-trivial amount of work that would take a fair amount of
development time--but it's one that would be quite valuable to the DRI
development community AND quite educational to the author. I don't
think it would take an experienced expert to start stubing...but it
might take somebody who's willing to ask for help...at key times.
Imagine, a driver suite, who's main claim to fame was the least number
of lines of code.
