The recent ideas discussed here on starting DRI development discussion on IRC, and perhaps rekindle some wider community involvement sounds like a fantastic idea to me.
I read some of the URL's posted around on the history of DRI, etc. and think that the idea of weekly meetings discussing DRI development would be a great way to pull toegether more community involvement. As such, I have created a new channel on irc.openprojects.net called #dri-devel for developmental discussions pertaining to the DRI. All those interested in DRI development are welcome to come and join the channel, and not just limited to the weekly discussions of course. It is my hope the new channel will bring everyone together interactively for some hardcore realtime DRI development discussion, and hopefully the DRI project will grow in numbers of talented 3D developers as well. Also, there is an existing DRI users channel (#dri) on OPN as well, which users may find useful for help on configuring DRI, downloading and compiling, etc. Hopefully both of these channels, will help the DRI project pull together and harvest both more developers and users alike. See you all on OPN! TTYL -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike A. Harris Shipping/mailing address: OS Systems Engineer 190 Pittsburgh Ave., Sault Ste.
