Interesting. And I just did a compile against a branch tagged mesa_4_0 :))
About zsh, a friend says that new bash has customizable tab completions too.

I've manualy imported the fix in mesa-4-0-branch
and it works fine without fbdev. Radeonfb is buggy, so I didn't try
that yet.
