Is this really the only difference? Please try to eliminate everything
including modelines etc.
I used to have this problem on this PowerBook but don't anymore.

Dunno, you could look at their source packages for patches they apply. I'm not
using SuSE packages though.

Hardly, as there has been no r128 work after the 4.1.0 merge AFAIK.
