I'll give it a shot later today after I've had some sleep. I can't wait
to have this thing actually running here, I was able to get 70fps out of
Q3A without even really trying. That's good, the card's fast enough to
still work with the debugging code that made this TNT2 beg for mercy
earlier. I'm impressed with the performance and very sorry I ever doubted
the Radeon driver. =)
Now if we can get at least similar performance on the Duron, all will be
right with the (3D-rendered) world. I even had the thing hauling with
AGP 4x - very nice.
BTW, what's up with Q3A's cinematics? Someone said last week that they're
seeing the same problem I am with them - or rather that they're not seeing
them at all. Is this local to the Radeon or to DRI in general? It's
kinda odd and I'm not sure why it's doing that.
