Is it possible to use a Rage 128 AGP card if its ROM isn't designed for that machine?
I realize I could never get the BIOS screen or perhaps even the console, but what if I
just want X11?

I pulled a Rage 128 from my mac (I flashed a PC GeForce2 MX with a mac ROM, works
great!) and it's sitting around collecting dust because the ROM isn't flashable.

I read somewhere that a LinuxPPC developer got a PC Radeon working on his LinuxPPC box
even though it wasn't recognized by Open Firmware (no mac ROM and thus you couldn't
see OF if you tried to bring it up).

I have an ISA video card in a PC. I used this PC to flash the GF2MX because it uses
the ISA card as the primary one, just in case that tidbit helps. I haven't tried
booting Linux on that machine with both cards in (I'd have to reinstall).
