There's a slight problem here -- the latest CVS code for the kernel
modules is based on the new templated architecture.  Thus, we'd have to
send a patch for the entire kernel subdirectory, and this doesn't really
meet the 2.4 patch submission policies.

I agree that we could just send it to Alan, but we'd have to get his
latest patch working first.  I've been rather busy with other things
lately, and don't know when this will happen.

Besides, if you're using a CVS version of everything else, you really
shouldn't be surprised that you have to use the CVS version of the
kernel module.  No matter what, it's always going to be the most
up-to-date version...
