A quick check would be if there is a different count { and }:
diff <(grep -E "}" -c -r /etc/dovecot) <(grep -E "}" -c -r /etc/dovecot)
This executes
grep -E "}" -c -r /etc/dovecot
and
grep -E "}" -c -r /etc/dovecot
and prints any differences via diff
