How do you propose the pages talk to each other on the server?

I'm new at this too, but couldn't you use a Public Variable or something
and
then set it to NO or something if you want to disable the link in the

page.. Then reload the other page.. check at the top of it to see if the
public variable is set to "NO'' and if it is, then disable the link..
