Nothing new has taken place since I last talked to you.

In our meeting it seemed that we were willing to 'let go' of the news
release project in terms of actually building it. We're in a research and
development mode and need to use some project or other as a starting point
to come up with a plan of how we are going to do things re: the web. We have
two areas - public web and adding to Banner web product (Your Connection).
We're going to focus on a project that is for the latter at this time
(student directory limited to logged in folk).

I still think you and Karen need to touch base on the concept I described in
the text I sent both to you and to her and get it firmly and officially
fixed in her mind that this is how it is/should be/will be. Basically, that
Media Relations doesn't need anything more from ITS regarding the news
releases project, and if that changes, you'll put in a specific job request.

We'll have to be careful in such job requests so that the request is quite
specific and doesn't appear to hand over responsibilities/control that you
aren't willing to hand over in fact.

Of course, I expect that Karen is interested in pursuing the new information
from Julia Noonan that Resource 25, can, after all, do it all . . .
