--Even as a PRE-preteenager, there were signs that I was destined to march to the beat
of a Road Angel drum solo. I was NEVER a Donny fan even though he was popular with my
age group.
I went through a brief Partridge Family bender but was mercifully redeemed by the
Doobies at age 13, (the year I quit playing dolls). I shall never forget that cool
summer evening in 1974, when poor ol' Davie was forever obliterated from my mind and
replaced by the Master of Soothe himself, Pat Simmons and the Doobie Brothers became
my musical heros. What a relief to worship REAL musicians!!! Yes indeedy, thank God
for the Doobies.
Counting down the hours until I get to RocknRoll heaven next Wednesday,
