The red crystal digits flashed 5:24 on my radio alarm clock and that familiar,
tinny-sound came emanating from the monotone speaker. But today, folks, it wasn't DJ
chit-chat, nor a rousing "wake-up" rock anthem. "well i built me a raft and she's
ready for floating..." flowed sweetly out of what i consider to be "the evil plastic
box that wakes me up every morning". I withdrew my left palm from the sleep button
and continued to let The Master of Soothe sing Black Water. I found myself sleepy
dreamin through out the song, thinkin about the Doobie concert I will be at almost 2
weeks from now. What a way to start a Monday! What a perfect prelude of things to
come! And now another very very trivial question for the list: have you ever awakened
to a Doobie song? If so, what was it?
