I reported Bug 144588 Base ODBC connection for Sqlite Inadequately Documented (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144588) and the first response was to consider contributing to the documentation. I documented it in the bug, provided a wiki entry, and draft content for the V7.3 guide. The process is very simple but I don't think the documentation would get a user through it. I hope it will at least get considered.
It has been pointed out SQLite is only one example of an ODBC connection. Fair enough the draft might need changing. Try following the documentation to use it. Anyone. A bigger issue is trying to follow a changed process that has evolved over a decade using a primitive mailling list without current documentation.
