They have a lot of work to do in a hurry and very few people actively working in their team. Ideally i think they need about 3 or 4 people from here. Enough to make a significant difference without swamping their team. To join their team please join their mailing list, even if that is just temporarily, just send a blank message to; [email protected] Notice the "documentation+" part gets missed off some emailing systems but it's a vital part of the address. http://www.libreoffice.org/get-involved/documenters/ I think most of the work is removing OpenOffice branding and replacing or adding new screen-shots of the updated UI in Ubuntu. The OpenOffice docs were originally written by the community and released under copyleft agreements and are mostly reasonably up-to-date. The changes in LibreOffice are mostly under-the-bonnet or additions to functionality rather than radical changes to stuff that already existed. The aim is to race through quickly to get a first release out there and then return to do tidy-up more leisurely for subsequent releases of the docs. LibreOffice Documentation Team settled on Alfresco rather than Mallard and people joining the team even temporarily need to ask their list for a login to the Alfresco website. I think it is a type of Content Management System allowing people to edit the documents using their own tools (LO Writer is recommended ;) lol ) and then it's easy to upload the documents back to the next stage such as the pending review section. They have just completed a rough guide on work-flow to help people joining their team. I realise this is quite a cheeky request especially as i am only a lurker on this list and their's so i apologise for this request. Ubuntu Translators often find it better to work upstream to make their own work-flow easier and i hoped the same might be true for Ubuntu Documentation.
