Welcome to the documentation list. If you haven't already, the best place to start is by reading the documentation orientation page at http://openoffice.apache.org/orientation/intro-doc.html. I also strongly suggest reading the level one and 2 pages at http://openoffice.apache.org/orientation/index.html. They will give you a good overview of how decisions are made in the project and the technical infrastructure that we utilize. Any questions should be directed to the mailing list.
