FYI, during the creation of the EDE document this was discussion at some
length and the conclusion during the creation of the RFC was that EDEs
would never transit hops because it gets very confusing very fast -- eg,
resolvers send many queries based on incoming requests and which EDEs
should be handed back to an end client is just one example out of a
few...  the end result was "don't do that".
