That is a very poor reason to contemplate using such a system. It seems
to me that you're trying to run a real hosting business on a shared
hosting account that limits you to one domain per account but
"unlimited" sub-domains. If that is the case, you're probably going to
have other issues that you don't know about yet, like resource limits,
poor performance due to sharing the server with an unknown number of
other accounts, not to mention the problem with mail that you've already
recognized. Build your system first and you can deal with how to deploy
it properly once it is ready to go live. Dedicated servers aren't so
expensive that you should be spending any time whatsoever on trying to
beat your hosting provider's system. If your clients are going to be
paying you to host their applications with you, provided you don't
undercharge, you'll have plenty of room to afford a dedicated server.
