The login page doesn't have anything todo with the admin page and if it's colorful or not is up to you. The admin has a login page that uses the contrib.auth login page. But you can still use contrib.auth even if the admin app is disabled. admin uses contrib.auth but it's not the other way around. adi -- Adi J.
