A lexer would need a DEP, and I'm doubtful it's where we should invest our
efforts.
I expect this ticket can be closed either with incremental regex
improvements or with a more forgiving mode that skips or warns on missing
assets, like comment:32 suggests.
A use case for missing assets would be choosing *not* to serve a source
map, which is impossible(*) since support for them was added in #33446.
(*) Or if possible, certainly wasn't clear to me when working with
`collectstatic` for the first time in a long while.
